The second edition of the report Promotion and development of dual training in the Catalan University System, published by the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) in the framework of the Knowledge, Territory and Innovation Platform (CTI Platform) includes new contents in response to the change of climate that has occurred since the presentation of the first edition. Indeed, in recent years there has been a highly significant upturn in terms of the degree of knowledge among society with regard to this modality of learning, the quality of programmes designed by universities, the willingness of companies and organisations to participate and, above all, the political will to foster it, both at a state and Catalan level.
In the full conviction that in order to set up its own model for dual university training, it is essential to involve and interrelate the many stakeholders in the region, and who are all driven by different motivations, ACUP has gathered different opinions in this report: on the one hand, those of its member universities, coordinated through an ad hoc working group that meets periodically; and on the other hand, those of non-university agents (governments, employers, chambers of commerce, unions, foundations and so on), as well as national and international experts that the association has interviewed over the last year in the framework of bilateral meetings.
